The craft of macram is environmentally compatible. It requires no electricity, chemicals or any harsh products. A lot of people these days are becoming increasingly concerned about buying natural, safe products. Macram is certainly a step in that direction and always has been, especially if you are a plant lover who is interested in various options to display your plants. Macramenia has a variety of hangers for all kinds of plants and pot sizes.
When you buy a plant hanger or wall owl hanging, you are obtaining a sturdy, well-crafted, natural product that is also good for the environment. As mentioned, the art requires no electricity, unless the macram is done in the evening. Personally, I like to macram with the natural light of the day. I recently went through a five-day electricity outage on the North Coast of California. This electricity outage did not keep me from the art of macram, which I thoroughly enjoy.
As I have mentioned in other articles, I see that macram is returning to popularity. Its simple, beautiful way to display plants and "back to basics" crafting style are some of the reasons, along with its attractive, natural good looks. There are numerous styles and sizes for practically every taste. At Macramenia, we have used glass beads in some petite hangers for a more evolved look that can match the pot that holds the plant, the blooms of a plant, or even a stained glass sun catcher. Don't forget to be checking my site for the 2008 announcement of my stained glass site. I will have sun catchers to match some of my plant hangers!
Consider macram plant hangers and wall hangings to accent your abode. Add some natural beauty while being eco-friendly at the same time.
After 3 decades of macrame crafting, Susan Foster began her own website, macramenia.com!
